A simple step to improve your small business cash flow

Running a consultancy firm can we rewarding but it takes a lot of hard work.Between managing
your consultancy firm and providing efficient service to your clients sometimes the most
important things can get overlooked.

The forecast of the amount of cash flow expected for the survival of the firm is one of the area
which can be neglected until its too late.

Being able to measure your success(cash flow) it is necessary to build your consultancy firm.

Traditionally cash flows forecasts usually required hiring a full time accountant or a bookkeeper. But
with advent of Cloud applications I am able to manage and improve my cash flows through the click of my finger

Harvest Application is an excellent example where I can track the number of consultancy hours I have spend with my client and provide them with a professional bill  on time.

Even better it gives my company a dedicated web address Give it a try today and let me know what you think.

Let go your employee mindsets -Things which help in becoming a freelancer transitioning to an Entrepreneur.

1) Make Self Growth your Top priority Being a freelancer is full of challenges and at times you just don't get enough projects to sustain and even if you are able to survive it’s not constant. My advice to all freelancers is to make self growth your priority, seek more learning situations and experiences.

2) Create a Brand-Value based-Be genuine A new way to make a brand of your skills is through Internet, traditional networking ways still work but now you can get more exposure through tools available on the Internet. Develop a brand and share your knowledge which would help someone. Write blogs develop a subscriber list.

3) Avoid spam-Have the right audience Monitoring your conversion rate is the best way to examine whether you are focusing on the right audience, so while developing a brand avoid spam and chose your market carefully.

4) Act now You have the qualifications, skills and there is no reason why you shouldn't achieve what you desire for. Acting now would give you a start and gradually developing your brand name, value base would help overcome your shortcoming. You won’t believe until u act, it’s the initial start up which is tough rest becomes your second nature.

5) Let go your employee mindset Being an employee is easy it’s a mindset followed by society as a whole, once freelancing has become your second nature the transition to become an entrepreneur is easy.

6) Work hard and smart and don't become attached to results. I remember the wording of Bhagwat Gita(holy book of Hindus) karm kiye ja fal ki icha mat kar(Work hard and smart and don't become needy of results) Follow youR passion and you will see the results.

7) Learn from others-get a mentor Learning from others saves you from being alone, you would need it someday because you can’t know everything. Even a Doctor doesn't know how to manage a business--partner with like minded people.

8) Remember your breakeven point Having a huge budget or small budget doesn't make a difference, the difference is made how and where you spend it. Know YOU BREAK EVEN POINT.

Steps which would help you run a business

 1) Direction-Have a vision and plan
 2) Head space-Stretch yourself, Think big, Believe yourself, Discipline it’s like a bridge (Set Dreams---- Realistic Dreams), Mixing with right people, Overcoming your fear.
 3) Money-Know your cash flow, breakeven point, Budgeting and reporting Example Sales 100=(Variable Cost =75)+(Gross Profit= 15)+(Owner Salary= 5)+(Net profit =5)+Equity 0+(Cash =5)
 4) Time-Learn to Delegate, Learn to finish today and plan tomorrow, Keep a Diary
 5) Delivery-Delivering consistently which is equal to foundation for healthy growth, Customer goes by perception Stick to above and things would eventually start happening, the transition from freelancing to entrepreneur business is all about 1) Niche =Cash) Leverage=Team) Synergy =Freedom) Results=Diversification
6)Have Life Mantra 1) Never wish your life were easier, Wish that you are better. 2) Be a result driven person with following qualities such as Ownership, Accountable and responsible, 3) Don’t have reason such as Blame, Excuse and Denial. 4) Real business is fun and which works with u

Freelance/Consultancy in India

In this new emerging India which the world has just recognised, the story isn’t new it’s been happening since we gained Independence from British.

Rising GDP growth, population growth is slowing, literacy is rising,
Middle class is exploding, poverty is declining, and per capita income is gaining and India is now the 4 the largest economy in the world.

The drivers of growth have helped India to be insulated from global downturns and are less volatile as compared to rest of the world. We are a high consuming economy and the world needs it.

Indian Economy grows in night when we all are asleep. 390 fortune 500 companies have outsourced software development to India. The convergence
Of the world in the 21 century has made world open marketplace where Freelancers/consultants like me would grow.

It’s absolutely possible to make money in any field by working for yourself. Lots of people do, all over the world. All you need is the right information from the right people, a bit of support, and encouragement to inspire your dreams.

Every one wants to know where to get more work, so I thought to give a helping hand. If you find any website or network that you think will benefit freelances/consultants like us in India, just put it on this page. We aren’t necessarily endorsing them but we can at least try and find out ourselves.
